These are three small projects I did for an escape room in Wageningen, the Netherlands.

Versus rooms

The first project is the ‘versus rooms’, for which I made a program that communicates with the rooms. The escape room consist of two identical rooms where two teams face off and solve puzzles. Solving these puzzles will give them codes.
These codes can be entered in the program I made, which will increase their score. This score can be used to sabotage the opposing room, receive a hint or unlock a secret door.

The program works with UDP, and sends messages based on the selections made. The creators of the escape room created the parts where the messages are received and utalized.
The owners of the escape room can manually edit the types and costs of sabotages, the costs of the hints and the scores of the puzzles.

Hockey Quiz

This project is a quizgame made for a specialized escape room as requested by a hockey association. The players play the quiz versus a fake team, and need to get more answers correct than this team (or ‘scoring’, as it is refered to in the game). What the players do not know is this game is rigged: they cannot lose. Each time they answer a question right, the opponent does as well, except for the last one.

Serious Escape Room

This escape room has the purpose to teach children about the plastic soup. By solving puzzles and playing games, they would learn where the plastic comes from, and how it affects the oceans.
The digital tool allows children to give the answers to puzzles they have to solve, and the tool provides them with new information for other puzzles. This is done by showing videos or playing audio.
