This is a project I did as a school assignment. We created a game for our client, the Noorderruimte. They asked for a game that would spread awareness about what they are doing, which is preventing cities from flooding. Since they are currently doing it so well, nobody is aware of what they are doing, and what everyone is paying taxes for.
The purpose of the game is to counter the rain in a city (Groningen) by building different kinds of structures and objects, like gutters. You also have to manage the funds and the happiness of the citizens.
My contribution to the game:
I am one of two programmers, where I mostly focused on the controls and input of the game, and the functionality of the UI. I also was the teamleader, and did a lot of the planning.
